You are probably one of those music junkies, who have headphones on, most of the time. Not to mention the amazing flow of energy you feel every time you‘re at a live performance. Well…we came across some facts, which you might find interesting! Scientific studies have shown that there are some quite interesting impacts of music on the mind, thoughts, emotions, behavior and even health.
Music can make you smarter!
Yes, that’s right! Listening to your favorite tunes engages different parts of your brain. Memorizing lyrics and melodies improves your understanding, thinking and remembering skills. Recalling the song takes a lot of focus, which increases the overall brain activeness. Concentration releases the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, a brain chemical that enables creativity and stimulates the memory.

For those of you, who play an instrument – the news are even better!
Have you heard of “The Mozart Effect”? As specified by some studies, the nerve makeup of musicians differs from the one of non-musicians. Musicians' brains have more bundles of nerves connecting the left hemisphere to the right. Activities which engage both sides of the brain at the same time, such as playing an instrument or singing, cause the brain to be more capable of processing information. Surprising or not, playing an instrument improves mathematical abilities. As you know, reading music requires counting notes and rhythms.
So... whenever you come across the multiple early career challenges a musician faces, just think about all the benefits music brings not only to you but to everyone else around you. Remember all of the great reasons which made you an artist. Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and live to everything!
Moral of the story:
Stay happy, stay healthy, get smarter! Make the world a better place!
Perform Anytime, Anywhere! =)
