The Airstage story all began when Michael Aissaoui (Mike Ice), as an investment banker, while on vacation was exploring the beautiful Shan Village in Myanmar, Southeast Asia. He heard an incredible 17-year-old boy singing and playing guitar on the street. It was impossible not to linger and enjoy the authentic sound of this live performance. While listening to the almost effortlessly played music, Mike realized that once he catches his plane home, he will never be able to hear it again.
Mike’s business trip ended, and he had to head back to his country. A few weeks went by, but the thought of never hearing the kid’s music gave him no rest. He thought the world is full of great musicians who remain unknown. However, the music industry focuses on profit. Talented people such as the boy Mike had accidentally found are usually left undiscovered for life.
He had to do something about it!
As Mike traveled, he thought about the fact that he didn’t have any cash to give to the young Artist.
HERE THE IDEA OF AIRSTAGE WAS BORN!
Mike thought of a way to show support to Artists with a cashless tipping system from his phone that could be used anywhere at anytime. That was in 2016… In 2017 he quit everything to develop Airstage into what it is today.
Today with the pandemic this mission is even more important for the entire live entertainment industry to survive. Airstage can help not only this talented artist, but any performing artist on Earth.
2017: In Burma, Mike sees a young Artist performing and has a revelation!
2018: Mike goes to Berlin to create the concept AIRSTAGE!
2019: Mike makes proof of concept in Milan, London, and in Paris where he meets Jay Golden.
Together they're taking Airstage to the next level.
2020: Airstage builds its global team and moves to Los Angeles for its global launch!

Once the booking request has been accepted by the artist, saved on the system, and made visibly, amendments can still be made, however, cancellations may result in a penalty. Penalties and cancellations are discussed in more detail further in this policy.
Failure to do so will result in a bad rating and review for the artist, which will have a negative effect and overall decrease the chance of appearing in our artist discovery searches on the Airstage® App.
As compensation to the user, Airstage® will recommend or attempt to provide a replacement artist for the already scheduled event.
If the artist cancels within 7 calendar days of the event date, this will result in a bad rating and review, weakened appearance in our artist discovery searches on the Airstage® App, as well as temporary or permanent suspension from all Airstage services.
The same applies in the case of a “No-show” or “Late arrival”. Airstage reserves the right to permanently suspend the artist from using all Airstage services if two or more “No-show” or “Late arrival” are associated with the artist’s Airstage® App account.
Failure to do so will result in a bad rating and review for the user, which will have a negative effect and overall limitation of the searchability and discoverability options offered by the Airstage® App.
